VIDEO TUTORIAL: Fluid FX Fundamentals. Production Example One: Steam - Basic-upwards
This video is an absolute must to view if you are thinking about using Fluid FX in production.
We follow the tradition here at Modernmayhem in providing you with useful tutorials that you can actually use in production and that makes you fully understand whats going on once and for all.
For this tutorial we start a series of production examples. This one is for creating a ‘Steam’ effect. It covers the absolute basics and follows right through to the effect using a technique I use in production to get the most out of fluid fx, predictably and efficiently. We do a bit of tweaking in the video to the example effect but we ofcourse dont have time in a video to tweak it to death and make it look amazing, but it gives you the tools to do so for yourself, step by step.
The next example will be billowing smoke, which will employ some more advanced features of Fluid FX and followed closely by ‘Fire’ and ‘Fog’.
