FREE VIDEO TUTORIAL - 3d Arrows using particle instancer
Here is a relatively simple video tutorial on how to make 3d arrows using Maya’s particle instancer.
Click the image above to open the flash video tutorial.
Its my first video, hopefully of many to come, so I thought I’d make this one free. Especially since I need the practice :p.
*edit* Now using h264! much better quality and a smaller file!
You will need to load the scene provided too.
arrow_instancer.ma
(right click and save target. Maya 7.0 and up)
The scene just has some very basic modelling and textures. But you can simply replace the geometry when youre finished animating the particles.
